Wonderoos are just great, they are the first real nappy we used and we have no complaints what so ever. They are very economical in the long run and justifiably a popular choice of pocket nappy, combining comfort, convenience and value for money. Wonderoos adjust with poppers to fit most babies very reliably from birth to potty training (approx. 8lb-35lb/3.6kg-15.9kg). Being pocket nappies means they have an outer waterproof layer and an inner soft, fleece layer, within which absorbent inserts are placed. There is a small opening at the back of the nappy on the inside, where the inserts are easily placed. Nappy liners are not required although you may want to use flushable/biodegradable ones for your convenience. Made in Turkey and transported by road. Waterproofing & absorbency: The waterproof outer layer (coloured part) is soft to touch fabric with a very thin plastic layer on the inside making it durable and keeping moisture and any solids locked away. The inner layer of the pocket, which goes next to babies skin is polyester microfleece which is non absorbent. Moisture passes straight through the fleece into the inserts, keeping your baby dry. If you choose not to use an extra paper liner, then stretching the non-absorbent fleece inner over the toilet will release most of the poo down the loo.
The new "V2" has a unique three stage insert system. 1 small contoured fast absorbing microterry insert for small babies 1 larger foldable, super absorbent, yet trim bamboo terry insert for larger babies and toddlers. Snap to two inserts together for maximum absorbency at night, nap times, car journeys etc, with boy and gorl snap settings. In my experience there has rarely been a leak at night time using a combination of the two. Extra inserts can also be added.
Birth to potty sizing: Above - Wonderoos on their smallest, medium and largest settings. There are 3 verticle rows of poppers for adjusting the rise (height of nappy at front), these can be clearly seen on the red nappy. There are also poppers to adjust the waist, ensuring you get the best fit whatever shape your baby is. The wings used to fasten the nappy at the front can be fastened over each other for really small waists, seen here on the pink nappy above. This leg bindings are frilled and nice and wide for maximum protection against leaks and prevention of red marks. If your baby has red marks then loosen the nappy to the next popper.
